Nothing about the movie, don't worry. It is a variety show with Fujiwara Tatsuya and Kenichi Matsuyama as guests.

It is subtitled in mandarin. I find it rather funny with how quiet and dazed Matsuyama is. Then when he heard Fujiwara saying he was playing with his wired acessories. His reaction is so funny, he like want to pounce on Fujiwara.

Currently watching quite an old series by Hideaki Takizawa which is called Yoshitsune. A samurai drama between the Heian and early Kamakura period.

For people not familiar with Japan's history, Yoshitsune is not a fictional figure created to fit a samurai story, that will be too much work, might as well just take someone whose tragic life is around for us to exploit.

Yoshitsune, like i said, is a tragic fellow so he is a damn popular figure and totally fantasize in novels, drama and whatever. he's always describe as a beautiful man and can jump like a kangaroo. (Like that can happen. i wonder how he can move in the heavy armor)

How tragic? we can't prove it since history can't be 100% true.

when i watched the series, i remember what my lecturer said. samurai is taken worldwide as one of japanese icons but seriously, samurai is about 1% of the total population then only. the majority is the farmers, they are the pillars of the country but they are not receiving the credit (just stop working and let the ungrateful shit die).

i also remember a joke from my lecturer that it is ironic that Japan keep saying they are the peace keepers (after the Hiroshima incident) when they are trying to kill each other internally since the beginning of their history. it is funny, however, which country hasn't done that? which country's history isn't bloody? in the short history of 40++ years of Singapore, we tried to kill each other too when the racial riots happened. so let just say we all don't have the right to say we are peace keeper, we are all dirty creatures, leeching off mother earth, simple as that....................................................

Another Jap drama i am watching. I seriously should finish the last two episode for I've been married to hell. which i mentioned briefly before

Male lead: Takizawa Hideaki

Another beauty and he can sing!!!!!! His songs are cute. My friend is probably going to complain that the world is unfair. Don't worry, i doubt these celebrities can draw as well as you, my dear friend. You should be happy you can play the guitar, use photoshop and draw. You can at least shout at the person 'i can draw, you bastard. what can you draw!!!!" ok, maybe not that rude................................as for me, other than insulting my brother, teasing wang wang and making the whole world thinks i am an arrogant, rude girl with no brains, i have nothing to brag about.

back to the drama.

this is the story about a boy thrown into poverty and out to take revenge. very common, ya. he met a girl with a limp and regain some humanity. ok, good.

hideaki did a very good job as tsugawa tatsuya (so far), the male lead of the drama. he's creepy.

throughout the whole drama, he's just running...................running...........running...and running. well, he's is supposed to be a good runner in this show so it matches the team but..................................running seems to be a theme for many jap drama. i have been watching jap drama on and off since few years back. the leads are always running in their shows. why? for what?

for singapore films, as long as you can cry, you can be a star. but for jap drama, as long as you can run, you can be a star, probably.

Another Jap drama that I click on crunchyroll for fun. I just let it buffer and play, then when i saw Matsuda Shota, I decided to watch this drama.

Matsuda Shota

is a beauty.

I personally feel Matsuda Shota is a better subsititute for the Yagami Raito role than Fujiwara Tatsuya. Fujiwara Tatsuya is a pretty guy too but unfortunately, he is not made out for Yagami Raito; this out of this world, impossible to exist fictional character. For one, he is not tall enough. Well, he is 178cm, still tall but by Japanese actor's norms, most Japanese actors tower over him easily. (my brother is shorter, HEHEHEHE) Then, his aura has the most fault. Where is the cold and killer's aura that Raito has? Tatsuya gave us more of a 'madman' raito..............................or is that the director's fault? Matsuda Shota, on the other hand, has shown us the elegance Raito has and the cool calculative expression Raito has in this show.

However, other than this beauty. There is a beast another beauty in this show, Toda Erika, actress of Misa of Death Note (which i will say is a lousy movie, except L: The last Name) is the female protagonist. And yes, once again, an idiot beyond hope as well. Does she has a face that reads 'I am suitable for stupid roles?' As compared to Nakama Yukie, she indeed, does not have a smart face.

Toda Erika's fans, can do me the honor of pointing out smart roles she did?

Impression:

I personally like how the story is going. It has a similar feel to reading the manga of Death Note. The thrill and suspense. Then, it is all the mind work it puts you through.

Then it is the presentation, black and red colour scheme, beautiful. It's a dog eat dog, human eat human society out there.

I like the cards especially. It is pure black and the fonts are gothic fonts. I like to make icons and banners for forums so I understand the importance of having a font that fits the mood of the picture. And gothic fonts are especially my favorite.
